Geografia, Reformas curriculares, BNCC, Acre.

The Geography and the BNCC of High School: an analysis of the formative itineraries of SEE-Acre

Abstract

Curricular reforms are important to understand the direction of education and the configuration of education systems. The implementation of a new curricular structure is a significant moment to understand the relevance of different disciplines in students learning. Consequently, disciplinary contents become susceptible to decisions imposed by the Education Departments. Based on these reflections, this article seeks to understand the role of Geography as a school discipline in the context of the implementation of the BNCC of Secondary School, focusing on the decisions taken by the SEE-Acre. As a methodological resource, the Rotas de Aprofundamento and the formative itineraries of the new curriculum are analysed. This curriculum formulation proposal was made available for preliminary consultation between July and August 2020. As a conclusion, it was found that Geography is losing space in the contents that are its responsibility and it needs a greater interaction with the disciplines of the other Curricular Arrangements.

Keywords

Geography, Curricular Reforms, BNCC, Acre.
ER -
