The collections of books chosen for analysis were Território e Sociedade no Mundo Globalizado (LUCCI; BRANCO; MENDONÇA, 2013) and Geografia Geral e do Brasil: espaço geográfico e Globalização (SENE; MOREIRA, 2015). To achieve this goal, we are based on discussions elaborated by authors such as Massey (2009), Oliveira Jr (2009), Tonini (2011), Flores e Tonini (2014), Godoy (2010, 2013), among others. After having investigated, it was possible to perceive that we are crossed by clichéd images and words of Globalization, especially with a marked repetition of two stereotypes. Given the present result, it must be asked if the reproduction of the same in both image and terms would not be preventing us from seeing something, that is, to think beyond what can be thought.

KEYWORDS

Education in Geography.
